This is an exciting career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the importance of Latin and Modern Foreign Languages within our students’ curriculum. Working within a vibrant International Communications faculty, you will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a passionate commitment to the progress of all students in our fully comprehensive and heavily oversubscribed school. We teach Latin as a compulsory discipline in Year 8 and Year 9, alongside French or Spanish. It is an increasingly popular choice at GCSE, after which students are able to study Classics at A Level.
The successful candidate will have an unwavering belief in the potential of every student and support them in improving their life chances. They will do what it takes to ensure that students achieve their best, and will inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject, which motivates students. The successful candidate will be able to teach Latin to KS4. Those who are able to offer French and/or Spanish should make this known on their application form.
This post would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced colleague. The school has a comprehensive ECT induction programme and numerous CPD opportunities.
