Context

The Abbey College is a small independent, International boarding school in the beautiful Malvern Hills. This provides outstanding views and a relaxing setting to teach and develop. It specialises in preparing international students for British universities, through English preparation, iGCSE, A Level and Foundation programmes. 

Role

Abbey College in Malvern is looking for a teacher of Law to work on our International Foundation Humanities, Law and Social Science programmes. This is an RQF Level 3 programme, equivalent to A Level. Students then progress on to a range of degrees at University, including Law.

This role will be offered on a 0.2 FTE permanent basis. A wider contract may be available to a suitably qualified candidate who can offer other subjects. There is also the possibility of a residential position.

Abbey College is a mixed, independent, non-denominational, secondary international boarding school, situated on a 70-acre campus in Malvern, Worcestershire. There are 49 students aged 14-19 on the school roll, 46 of whom are boarding students. 

The site of the current Abbey College has been used for education since 1874, with the original main building built in 1863. Facilities now include a library, computer rooms, three science laboratories, 15 classrooms, common room areas, cinema, disco, multi-gym and sporting facilities.

The good educational provision enables students to go on to university and study courses relevant to their future careers. The quality of this aspect of the college’s provision has been maintained since the last inspection.”
