Job overview

The Ferrers School was judged by Ofsted in February 2015 to be a ‘Good’ school in all areas. We are a popular over-subscribed school and are looking for teachers who can work with us so we can continually improve and so move from ‘good to great’.

We are looking for a great teacher who will be able to make a real contribution to  our continuing  success. You will have the ability to teach Law at A level. We are fully committed to the professional development of all our staff.

In addition, there is an opportunity for a suitably experienced applicant to also apply for the post of Leader or Deputy Leader of Sixth form. This would involve provision of the Sixth form curriculum and the support and guidance of sixth form students at The Ferrers School and across the local consortium.

Law is a very successful A Level subject at The Ferrers. We consistently achieve results above the school average. The subject is a popular choice at A Level, with boys and girls alike, and several students have gone on to study Law and other related disciplines at University in the last few years.

The Ferrers School is a mainstream secondary academy for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, and there are just under 1,000 pupils on its roll.
