Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Learning Support to join a School based in Oxfordshire.

Join their expanding Learning Support team at, and help them shape a first-rate resource for pupils and staff alike. They are seeking a positive and child-centred individual who has a proven record of teaching children with a wide range of SEN needs.

As their Learning Support Teacher, you will work with pupils to develop executive function skills, build metacognition, and teach strategies that promote independent learning and emotional regulation.

You will be responsible for developing individual programmes of support, preparing and delivering lessons and support in small groups or one-to-one situations, providing support in the classroom and boarding houses as necessary, liaising closely with the Head of Learning Support, academic and boarding staff, and providing regular feedback to parents.

To be successful in this role, you should have Qualified Teacher Status, evidence of continuous professional development, an understanding of the multifaceted needs of young people with special educational needs and associated challenges, and an understanding of the impact of environmental factors on teaching and learning. You should also possess excellent interpersonal skills, be a strong team player, and be well-organised with good planning skills.
