This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing school and be able to develop your skills as we grow.

As part of the Literacy for Life team you would be teaching Year 7 in our thematic curriculum.

We are looking for passionate and creative teachers who work well within a team and who will help us on our journey to provide an exceptional educational provision for our pupils and families.

We can offer:

  • Opportunities across our MAT to enhance skills and experience
  • Excellent career and professional development opportunities
  • A focus on staff wellbeing

  • Demonstrate a passion to make a difference to others
  • Be proficient with the use of technology for learning and have a willingness to innovate.

We pride ourselves on being an employer where all staff can thrive. We believe that supporting our staff both personally and professionally allows them to give their very best to our students. Our aim is to foster a working culture that recognises and reflects the importance of good mental health and wellbeing and provides effective support when colleagues need it.

We are excited and proud to have been the first UTC in the UK with healthcare and health sciences as its specialism, offering learning and career opportunities like no other.

By combining academic study with real-life work projects, personal development activities, and career opportunities our young people will become well-rounded work-ready individuals. They will benefit from a combination of qualified national curriculum teaching and putting their learning into practice in exciting, work-focused projects that are delivered in partnership with employer professionals.

We’re able to deliver this ‘tomorrow’s education today’ concept through robust partnerships with major health, education and public sector organisations. This approach supports the development of academic, practical and life skills in our young people, equipping them to meet the demands from employers for good qualifications, transferable skills and a professional attitude to work – whatever career path they eventually choose.

We believe that the UTC can provide a set of opportunities and qualifications that will provide an excellent foundation for students to enter the health and care professions.
