Our School

Life in Penang

The school is located on the mainland of Penang with easy access to both north and south bridges leading to the island.  Penang is known as the food capital of Malaysia.  From fine dining to urban street food, you can find it all here.  Penang is also renowned for its street art and there is a vibrant art scene in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Georgetown.  There are a number of beautiful high-end hotels in Penang and a large selection of very reasonable holiday lets if you wanted a weekend away from home but want to stay close by.  Penang is also a great base for easy national and international travel.  From Penang, there are many wonderful easy-to-access Malaysian locations to explore such as Ipoh, the Cameron Highlands and Langkawi to name but a few.   There is an ever-growing number of direct flights flying from Penang including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Phuket.  The cost of living is extremely low in Penang meaning that staff are able to enjoy the island and all it has to offer in their spare time very easily.
