An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified and inspirational Mandarin Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. The successful candidate must be able to articulate a clear educational vision, demonstrate a deep passion for their subject, and be excited at the prospect of teaching highly motivated and high-achieving students.

North London Collegiate School Jeju is a large, thriving co-educational Day and Boarding school for students aged 4-18. Our curriculum and ambitious academic ethos, together with our extensive co-curricular programme, reflect our close links with NLCS in London and provide a high quality British Independent School education in an international setting.

The spirit of NLCS Jeju is one of high energy and achievement. Our students combine academic excellence and a deep love of learning with a wealth of co-curricular opportunities to develop into exceptional individuals who believe that anything is possible. Results throughout the school are formidable and last year’s graduating students achieved an average IBDP score of 37, with 28% earning a score of 40+. Our alumni are now attending some of the world’s leading universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford and Princeton.

We believe that NLCS Jeju is a unique opportunity for educational leaders. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package including accommodation, annual flights, health insurance, tax subsidies and free places at the school for teachers’ children. We also provide first-class professional development through NLCS Jeju, the established NLCS educational community and a variety of external providers.

The school is set in one of Asia’s most beautiful and spectacular locations. Jeju Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site 130km off the southern coast of the Korean peninsula, is often described as one of Asia’s best kept secrets. With its temperate climate, stunning natural scenery, array of rare and endangered wildlife and welcoming beaches, it is a fascinating and breathtaking environment in which to live.

Whilst we enjoy excellent facilities in a prime location, it is our people that make the School a special place. If you are interested in joining our team please get in touch and email an up to date CV, a covering letter of application, details of 3 referees (one of which should be your current or most recent employer), and a completed application form to recruitment@nlcsjeju.kr.

The deadline for applications is 7th December 2018 but we reserve the right to make an appointment in advance of this date should an exceptional candidate be found.

NLCS Jeju is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to enhanced background checks.
