Vision for Education SEND department are in the process of recruiting a Mathematics and P.E Teacher with experience of working with children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) difficulties to work in a Secondary Alternative Provision within the Tameside LEA.
An ability to build rapport with young people quickly, and then utilise positive relationships to help children to engage in subject material is essential. You will be considerate, patient and must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
Successful Teachers must be enthusiastic, committed and have a passion for teaching children of secondary school age, as well as experienced in teaching Mathematics and P.E up to GCSE level.
A certificate in Team teach would be desirable, however by working with Vision for Education you will be invited to attend regular CPD which can equip you with the best skills for working within specialist and alternative provisions.
The salary for this position will be dependent upon experience. The role is long term with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
