Job overview

Required for September 2016, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher. The successful candidate will join a well-established, supportive and successful department. S/he will be passionate about Mathematics and able to communicate enthusiasm and confidence to our pupils. They will be focused on the attainment of all pupils, have proven success at teaching across all abilities, and hold qualified teacher status (QTS). In addition, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice.

The department achieves impressive results and high levels of pupil progress at GCSE. The timetable is likely to involve KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of some intervention teaching, although the ability to contribute to A Level would be of interest.

QEGS is a high achieving, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school and converter academy. The school is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such all candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
