We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of Mathematics to join our strong team of subject specialists in the Norton Hill and Somervale Maths departments.
The Maths teams are committed to inspiring a love of the subject and achieving excellent outcomes for all our students. The A*-C pass rate in 2016 was 86% at GCSE and the Progress 8 score was +0.38, one of the highest in the country. At A-Level 88% of students achieve A*-C with 60% at A*-B. Mathematics is one of the most popular subjects in our large Sixth Form along with A-Level Further Maths. As a result we send a number of students to continue their Maths studies at Russell Group universities.
Teaching at Norton Hill and Somervale will provide diverse opportunities for working with students of all abilities as well as becoming involved in a huge range of curriculum enrichment. The right candidate will have a passion for communicating Mathematical ideas to young people and be willing to go the extra mile to help all their students perform to the best of their ability. Experience of securing good GCSE and A-Level outcomes will be advantageous.
Norton Hill is part of a high performing Multi Academy Trust where all secondary schools achieve a positive Progress 8 score. Norton Hill itself is in the top 130 schools in the country.
