About Collegiate School, Bristol

Welcome to Collegiate.

We are a thriving and happy co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 18, located just north of Bristol. At Collegiate we have approximately 800 pupils, with our Preparatory School accommodating pupils from Nursery to Year 6, and the Senior School accommodating students from Year 7 up to our Sixth Form. Our recent ISI report was outstanding.

Our holistic approach to education not only enables our students to excel academically, but we ensure activities beyond the classroom play an equally important part in their time here at Collegiate. Our beautiful 30-acre grounds and excellent facilities across all faculties allow pupils to explore a huge range of sporting, creative and extra-curricular activities, with a work hard, play hard philosophy bringing out the best in our students.

Pastoral care is core to Collegiate life and underpins all that we do. Across the whole school our supportive house system provides the structure through which we monitor and support the development, well-being and happiness of all of our young people.

With a shining sporting legacy, sport too plays a huge part in the life of our pupils. We encourage everyone to get involved because physical education is important for a healthy mind and allows each pupil to develop self-esteem and a strong team ethic. We value and nurture sporting excellence, arranging a full fixture list for pupils of all talents to represent the school.

Working for Collegiate School means being part of a community of exceptional practitioners and professionals.

We believe that our most valuable resource is our staff. The continued success of the school depends upon having a highly motivated team, where development of personal and professional excellence is supported and where we recognise every role is important in making Collegiate an excellent school.

Colleagues at Collegiate are welcoming and supportive. We have a well developed Staff Common Room and an Employee Forum representing all our employee groups, where we strive to support wellbeing and listen actively to our staff.

Our staff benefit from beautiful 30-acre grounds and excellent facilities across all faculties and departments. Staff enjoy the popular free lunches during term time, free on-site parking, and have use of the school's gym facilities. In addition, all employees have a defined contribution pension scheme, sick pay and are able to apply for discounted school fees.
