Job overview

We are a young school, now in our third year of operation. We currently have nearly 300 pupils, of whom around 80 are in the Secondary School. We expect to have between 100-120 in this part of the school next year. Most of our pupils are Moroccan but we have a significant international expatriate pupil population too, drawn mainly from European countries and China. We are staffed mainly by British expatriate teachers, with Moroccans supporting us for subjects such as French and Arabic. We use the Cambridge International Curriculum throughout the school. Class sizes are between 15-22 pupils.

Our facility is situated some 10 km to the south of the city of Casablanca, Morocco's commercial hub, and close to the international airport. The buildings were completed in 2017 to a very high standard, including excellent facilities: swimming pool, gymnasium, sports hall, drama room and library.

School expansion means we have a vacancy in the Mathematics department for academic year 2020-21.

We are looking for an exceptional teacher to join our exceptional team of two teachers.  We need a teacher with British qualifications and training and recent experience in British schools. We need a person who can inspire and lead children of all abilities to excel in their learning of Mathematics, as well as to play a broader, pastoral role in developing their personalities to become kind, resilient young citizens for the future.   If you can also teach Physics, that would be an advantage.

We do not, necessarily, need a person with international experience. However, we do need someone who will see the different culture and lifestyle of Morocco as a rich source of excitement and adventure. This will not be for everyone: you need a certain stamina to make positions such as these a success. Moreover, you need the personal resources and creativity to make the experience of teaching in Casablanca a rich and rewarding one. We also offer the satisfaction of leading the development of British education in a region that has not, historically, known our culture but is now very interested to discover what our kind of schools can provide for children.

If all this sounds appealing, we want to hear from you as soon as possible.

Please note that, as a school aiming for British School Overseas status, we take Safeguarding and Child Protection extremely seriously. We will conduct the full range of background checks available to us on on all our candidates before employment status is confirmed. We also expect all staff to maintain the highest standards in adhering to our Staff Code of Conduct and other rules pertaining to Child Protection.

Adventurous, resilient, creative Primary School Teacher with British qualifications, training and experience needed as soon as possible for young British school in vibrant Casablanca.
