We are currently hiring an experienced Teacher of Mathematics for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for January 2018 start.

The position reports in to the Principal.

The School

Jumeirah College is a GEMS Premium Secondary School which delivers The National Curriculum for England, offering the full range of GCSE and A level courses. The College has been repeatedly judged to be Outstanding in inspections. Although non-selective, students achieve exceptional exam results which compare to top UK schools. In 2017 44% of Year 11 gained 8 or more A*/A and at A level 83% of all results were A*-B.

Our student body is a dynamic international community of over 1,100 students from over 65 nationalities and we take pride in the development of the whole child, recognising the importance of developing cultural and global awareness. The Post: Teacher of Mathematics

From January 2018 we are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Mathematics to join the College. The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and successful. In 2017 all GCSE candidates gained A*-C, with over 60% gaining A*/A. At A level the department regularly has over half the year group continuing into the sixth form. In 2017 87% gained A*-B at A2 Mathematics, with 69% gaining A*/A in Further Maths. The opportunities which Mathematics present for students is central to the philosophy of the school. As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Jumeirah College.

The successful applicant will have the following:

• A certified teaching qualification with exceptional subject knowledge and experience of leading a high performing teaching team.
• Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level or equivalent. We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England.

To be considered for these posts you must hold a B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent. The successful applicant will possess the willingness to commit to Extra Curricular activities.
