Teacher of Mathematics

The English College, Dubai, seeks a positive, reflective and inspiring teacher of Mathematics to work in the Secondary School for August 2022. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset and high expectations of all staff and students. They will be open and willing to learn; they will be expected to engage in professional learning with the mindset that everyone can always improve. We are seeking a professional who is passionate about encouraging students to grow and develop holistically - academically, emotionally, physically and socially. 

The Mathematics department at the English College is a strong faculty with excellent results, rated Outstanding for attainment and progress by KHDA in the Secondary Phase. We require someone who will share in our departmental vision and inspire a lifelong thirst for learning Mathematics within our students. The successful candidate will join an innovative, hard-working, friendly and supportive faculty where teachers are committed to developing learning strategies which challenge and interest all of our students. Applicants must have experience teaching GCSE and A-level Mathematics, including Mechanics and Statistics, and be willing to teach across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Further Mathematics in KS5.

Successful applicants will:

• Be honest, transparent and have integrity. 
• Have a good honours degree. 
• Hold a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
• Have a minimum of two years’ experience of teaching.
• Be able to provide a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
• Be professional in appearance and conduct
• Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the vision of the school
