Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics on a full-time permanent basis from September 2021. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

The school are looking for an outstanding maths specialist, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join their highly successful maths faculty.  In 2019, 84% students achieved grade 4+ at G.C.S.E. Both maths and further maths are popular options at A Level.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large, highly supportive and forward looking maths team.  The post is suitable for either a Career Entry or a more experienced teacher.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach maths up to and including G.C.S.E.  A level teaching could also be available. 

The Successful Candidate:

  • Good quality Honours degree
  • PGCE, or equivalent, in Secondary Education or in the process of working for this
  • Qualified Teacher Status or working towards this
  • Experience of teaching science up to KS3/4
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • An understanding of what makes outstanding teaching and learning and the willingness to strive for this on a daily basis
  • The ability to differentiate effectively so that the needs of all students are met
