Job overview
Teacher of Mathematics, f/t permanent
Our school is a successful inner city community school with a passionate and collaborative mathematics team. Our departmental ethos is “inspiring the mathematician in every student”, where we put mathematics and the student at the centre of everything we do. We are a warm, energetic and enthusiastic team – with a strong emphasis on creativity and collaboration. We are especially proud of our innovative approach to mathematics learning at KS3. Our successful sixth form also means we have a growing number of students taking both A Level Maths and Further Maths. We prefer all staff to teach at KS3, KS4 and, at least working towards, KS5.
We describe our approach as:
- Creative
- Passionate about mathematics
- Research based
- Student-led, discovery and activity based learning
- Meaningful teacher collaboration
- Conceptual understanding as well as procedural fluency
- Risk and initiative taking
If this sounds like a department you’d like to join and you are someone who can teach KS3, KS4 and preferably some KS5, please submit your application via TES online.
