The International School of Florence is looking to appoint an outstanding, fully qualified and experienced teacher of Mathematics for the middle school (grades 6-8) from September 2018. The successful candidate will be approachable, flexible and able to integrate technology into their teaching. They must also be a EU citizen or have an EU visa in order to apply.
The school, one of the oldest international schools in Europe, is located in a Renaissance villa overlooking Florence, and is an independent, non-profit, co-educational, day school for students in grades PS-12, with academic programmes culminating in the IB Diploma, in a community that celebrates the worth of each individual. The school, with a current enrollment of approximately 480 students on two campuses, is comprised of families from over thirty countries, including about 40% Italian citizens. Founded in 1952 in Rome, ISF is one of the oldest international schools in Europe. Originally catering to an international, Anglophone community, it had its roots in an American-based curriculum. However, in the more than 50 intervening years, it has grown and changed, developing into a model international school.
