                           TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

 St Gregory’s has been identified by OFSTED as a good school with outstanding Behaviour and Outstanding Leadership and Management; by the DfE as a Lead Behaviour School and by the SSAT as a High Attaining School. In 2017 our Progress 8 Score was + 0.72; whilst at post 16 89% of our students achieved A*- C grades and 70% achieved A* - B grades.  

The Governors of this highly successful and over-subscribed mixed 11-18 Specialist Science College are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and well qualified Mathematics specialist (the department currently offers to students GCSE, AS and A2 Mathematics entries and Further Mathematics). The successful candidate will also be a person with ideas, drive for excellence and very good teaching skills.  

The Mathematics Department is successful across all the Key Stages with a large uptake at ‘A’ Level. The successful applicant will be supported in a strong and well-resourced department. All rooms have interactive whiteboards, excellent resources, and the services of an administrative assistant. 

The school is firmly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and all staff will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.  A respect for the Catholic ethos of the school is essential.
