The school’s results place it in the top 10% of schools nationally. We moved, in November 2012, into a brand new £80 million school. The school became an Academy in September 2013 and was recognised by the Department for Education as a Teaching School in 2015. The school is committed to developing its teachers and to fostering the development of outstanding teaching. Its approach is one of personalised staff development and action planning delivered through coaching and modelling of good practice.  

Teachers provide outstanding Mathematics teaching. There are generous resources and all teachers have their own classroom which benefits from a range of interactive technology and brand new teaching resources. Mathematics colleagues benefit from the participation in the Prince’s Teaching Institute and their professional development is supported by an Assistant Headteacher. Mathematics and Further Mathematics are popular with students and there are several AS/A2 teaching groups. Many of our A-level students go on to study the subject at university.
