Teacher of Mathematics – TMS 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of Mathematics, from January 2018. The right candidate would join our thriving Mathematics Faculty, at one of the highest performing schools in Tamworth and North Warwickshire. We pride ourselves on:

We are a high performing and popular school with specialist status, located close to the M42 and M6, in easy reach of Birmingham, Staffordshire, South Derbyshire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

Our Mathematics Faculty is embarking on an exciting journey to radically improve performance in the subject so that achievement and progress is significantly better than national figures.  Subsequently, we are seeking to appoint dynamic, innovative and ambitious teachers and leaders who can drive forwards this vision.  Have you got the skills and motivation to be part of the team to make this happen?

Learning and teaching is a key focus at Kingsbury School and so we are looking to appoint teachers who can challenge our students to achieve their potential; for excellent practitioners we are also offering the opportunity for scholarships through the development of learning and teaching strategies on a whole school level.  Through our recent joining with the Castle Phoenix Academy Trust we are also able to offer significant professional development opportunities to successful candidates.  This can include CPD opportunities with our teaching school, leadership development opportunities, teaching development CPD for newly qualified candidates (ITP and OTP) and collaboration with our trust lead school, Caludon Castle.

Scholarships

For September 2017, we are introducing Scholarships for aspiring lead learning practitioners.  Up to £2000 scholarship bursary will be available over two years.  The Scholarship is to enable the preparation of inspirational resources, lead on aspects of intervention, sharing of good practice and development of a ‘leadership of learning’ challenge. There will also be a £1000 ‘golden ticket’ for training and development with the Castle Phoenix Teaching School Alliance and Leadership Academy
