John Madejski Academy is at the start of an exciting journey.

It is a school in Special Measures and by the time you are in post it will be part of one of the country's most successful Multi Academy Trusts.  This will provide additional support and wider strategic leadership to the Academy as it enters the next phase in its development and prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2017.   It also means you will be part of a wider professional community with extensive opportunities to further your career.

Working in a school which is in Special Measures is not easy and you will not be swayed by this. We are looking for teachers that want to make a difference and be part of transforming a school and the education of young people in South Reading.

Passion, Creativity, Enthusiasm, Inspiration - this is what we are looking for in our new colleagues.  That you are a professional who teaches good and outstanding lessons; a teacher who can demonstrate good progress and attainment for their students, is a given.

You will become a valued member of our supportive staff team and have access to our bespoke support and CPD programme throughout your career at John Madejski Academy. You will be able to work with a coach to develop your practice, using the Paul Bambrick Santoyo ‘Leverage Leadership’ model.

If you are dynamic and have a proven track record of securing good progress and attainment of students in KS3 through to KS5, then we would be delighted to meet you.

Visits to the Academy are welcome please contact Andrea Ramsay if you wish to make an appointment.

Closing date for this post is Friday 30th December   2016.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and staff, and expect all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
