Calderstones School has an exciting opportunity to appoint a dynamic and innovative Teacher of Mathematics to join our forward-thinking department. Mathematics is taught throughout the school by a team of high-skilled teachers and is very successful at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Maths is a popular subject at A Level and in 2019 we introduced A Level Further Maths as a timetabled option. Our students achieve excellent grades at GCSE. (See Department Information for more details).
The Mathematics Department is very well resourced with modern, spacious rooms boasting top quality equipment in all rooms. The use of ICT in learning and teaching is actively encouraged and is used extensively across the department. Applications from NQT’s are welcome and the ability to teach A Level Maths and Further Maths is desirable, although not essential.
The school has impressive facilities across the campus including a swimming pool, ample secure staff parking and full equipped gym.
