Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover)  

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and inspirational teacher of maths (maternity cover)to join us from September 2018. A Level teaching may be available for a suitably qualified candidate. The maternity cover is expected to last for the full academic year so would be suitable for both NQTs or experienced teachers.  

The Mosslands School is situated in the heart of the Wallasey community. It has a history of excellence in science, engineering and technology which has seen it grow into the STE@M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) Centre of Excellence that it is today. 

 In our most recent inspection, in rating us as “Good” in all aspects, Ofsted described the school as a place where “Pupils feel safe and well supported” and where pupils “behave well in lessons, enjoy class discussions and take pride in their work” and a school where pupils are “making good progress from their starting points”. 

To succeed in this role, you must be an exceptional classroom practitioner, with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire students. We offer an excellent CPD programme for all staff.  We are committed to developing high quality and effective teachers, continuous training and professional development is embedded within our school culture.

Mosslands is a successful community school which provides a fully comprehensive education for about 1000 boys aged from 11 to 19 years old.
