Mathematics Teaching Opportunity in Mongolia (British Curriculum)

Due to expansion and increasing numbers the British School of Ulaanbaatar (BSU) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics to join our successful teaching team in August 2016.

BSU is located in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city in Mongolia.  The school opened in September 2012 and has increased in numbers year on year. The students are aged between 3 - 18 and in 2016 the school will take its first cohort of Year 13 students through to A2.  BSU offers a rewarding teaching opportunity in a thriving environment, offering a unique chance to experience life in a fascinating part of the world.

BSU is a fully accredited member school of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). It successfully completed the British Schools Overseas inspection in 2014, two years after opening its doors to students. BSU is accredited with the Cambridge International Examination board (CIE). BSU follows a curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Programme, the National Curriculum of England and Wales, IGCSEs and AS/A2 qualifications.

Applicants should have:

• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience with the National Curriculum of England and Wales
• Experience teaching GCSE or IGCSE and AS/A2 Mathematics

Desirable:

• International experience
• The ability to offer ICT or Physics to AS level would be an advantage

Successful candidates will be offered:

• A fixed term contract of two years with an option to take on a further contract on completion of the first
