Job overview

We wish to appoint, for January 2023, a first rate qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to work within our vibrant Department teaching mathematics to boys from years 5-8. Mathematics at St. Martin’s is both popular and successful and the Department strives for and achieves the highest standards. It has enjoyed outstanding success at 13+ and Scholarship level. The Department comprises three Maths specialists, though given the size of the school, the subject is also taught by Key Stage 2 qualified teachers. The successful candidate would be expected to teach Mathematics to 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance and Scholarship level.

Applicants should hold a UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a Good Honours Degree in Maths or other relevant subject.

To apply, please complete the My New Term Application Form - Maths using the Supporting Statement section of the form to detail your suitability for the role, how your knowledge, experience and training meet the person specification and your motivation for applying to St Martin's School.

The closing date is 12 noon on Monday 3rd October

However, early application is advised as we reserve the right to close the advert early should a suitable applicant be found. If you have any questions, or you would like an informal chat about the role, then please contact the Head’s PA, Mrs Gill Robson to arrange. headpa@stmartins.org.uk

The successful candidate will be subject to DBS checking and references will be taken up before the appointment is confirmed.
