(There may be an opportunity of a TLR post for leading in KS3 for a suitable candidate)

Lady Manners School is a Foundation School with 1360 students on roll including 265 in the Sixth Form.  We are a highly successful and popular comprehensive school situated within the Peak District National Park but close to the centres of Sheffield and Chesterfield.    

This post provides an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative and committed teacher to join a department that is highly successful across the 11-18 age range.   

The successful candidate will be:   

• a well qualified Mathematics teacher who is able to contribute to the development of Mathematics at all key stages.  The ability to teach A level would be an advantage 

• able to inspire students of all abilities and ages to achieve their highest potential 

• committed to delivering high quality teaching and learning 

• able to work well in a team of staff 

• well aware of the importance of safeguarding children

School Organisation 

The school is organised into:

  • Lower School (Years 7-9) Key Stage 3
  • Upper School (Years 10-11) Key Stage 4
  • Sixth Form (Years 12-13) Key Stage 5

Each has a Head of School, Heads of Year, and Form Tutors.   

We have a strong team of support staff, including specialist finance, premises, catering and technical staff, all of whom are employed directly by the school. 

Curriculum 

Teaching is organised through subject specific departments, each with a Curriculum Leader.   

The Lower School curriculum provides a broad and interesting education for all students.  In Upper School the core curriculum contains English, Mathematics, Science, Religious Studies, PE, PSHE and Citizenship.  Choice is introduced through four subject options but students are encouraged to ensure that their curriculum remains broad and balanced by considering creative, humanities and language subjects.  

We currently offer 29 subjects for study at Key Stage 4 and 28 in the Sixth Form, including academic and vocational subjects.
