Bertha Park High School is Scotland’s newest secondary school and the first non-replacement school in twenty years which opened its doors to S1 and S2 pupils in August 2019.The school is growing year on year and we currently have S1 to S3 pupils. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Mathematics to join our small team of only 2 staff that will continue to grow respectfully as we increase our pupil role. This is a unique opportunity to support the development and growth of Scotland newest Mathematics department. 

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, a strong background of innovative and engaging learning and teaching experiences and a working knowledge of leading aspects of school improvement and self-evaluation.

The start date for this post will be Monday 16 August 2021.

Requirements

You will be a teacher who can demonstrate a proven track record in achieving better outcomes for a range of learners. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate, engage and earn the trust of young people as you support their individual and collective needs.

You will be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, keen to take on new challenges and work creatively with new technologies.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading and managing support for young people, in the Maths Department and liaising with parents, partners and other staff within the school.

You will be supported by our Principal Teacher of Maths and other staff to ensure that young people's needs are met.

You will contribute to staff development to enhance their professional knowledge and skills offering opportunities for further development as required.
