Silverdale School is an extremely popular and high-achieving 11-18 Comprehensive in the south west of Sheffield and is now the founding school of the Silverdale Multi-Academy Trust. The school is rated as ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted 2014) and leads one of the country’s largest Teaching Schools. Silverdale moved into a brand new building in January 2009 with a full complement of facilities and a further extension will be opened in September 2018.
Silverdale School is part of Silverdale Multi Academy Trust, as such all appointees may be required to work at any MAT site in the future.

Required for January 2017, an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of Mathematicsv who will make an active contribution to this successful curriculum team.
The post would suit either a newly qualified, recently qualified or experienced teacher. Experience of teaching at KS3 and KS4 is essential. The ability to teach KS5 would be an advantage. The successful applicant will be an excellent classroom teacher who is committed to outstanding achievement for all students.
Silverdale has a large sixth form, we currently have 8 classes studying A Level Mathematics including 4 classes also studying Further Mathematics. The department currently have 12 teachers with a good balance of experienced and recently qualified teachers. There are many opportunities for the successful applicant to be involved in development projects within the department.
