Sacred Heart Catholic Secondary School, Camberwell

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed teacher who can deliver outstanding lessons. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching mathematics at KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5. The post is equally suited to an experienced classroom teacher or an NQT, who is looking to join a successful and experienced team where standards are high and we strive for excellence.

Sacred Heart Catholic School is a very successful and oversubscribed 11-19 school in Southwark, London. We are a Catholic school with very strong moral values and a traditional approach to behaviour and discipline; we believe in honesty and trust. Sacred Heart School consistently achieves outstanding academic results way above local and national averages in every subject area.  We also have an exceptional record of helping our pupils to achieve more than they think is possible: we are regularly in the top 5% of all secondary schools in the UK on Academic Value Added tables.  Our excellent record of achievement is a testament to the strength, determination and sheer hard work of this community and this has been reflected in our most recent OFSTED inspection in which we achieved “outstanding” in all categories.

We expect you to be passionate about ensuring the best possible Mathematics education for every one of our students. You will be a creative teacher who is ambitious for the students you teach, your colleagues' level of performance and your own career development.
