Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics on a full-time permanent basis from September 2021.
PLEASE NOTE: The school are also offering a two-year temporary TLR payment of £2,500 for the right candidate that would like some extra leadership responsibilities with the hopes of making this permanent.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an 11-16, 'Good' rated academy based in the market town of Stockton-on-Tees, in vibrant County Durham. They are a medium-sized school with a big heart, and even bigger plans for the future. In their recent Ofsted inspection, it was noted in the report that they are ‘being rapidly transformed through the highly effective actions of leaders and the trust.’
The academy places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of their students and share their single goal of ‘Students First, raising standards and transforming lives’.
The academy are looking for someone that possesses the skills and determination to make a significant difference. A passion for Mathematics and the ability to enthuse young people. This should be coupled with the desire to support their young people to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with academy policies, under the direction of the Principal
- Promoting the achievement of high standards through effective teaching and learning within subjects area(s), preparation, evaluation and action planning
The Successful Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Good degree
- Successful experience of teaching at all key stages
The school have great training opportunities for teachers new to the academy including: Teaching for Mastery; Open Classroom events; Maths Matters; TSST; Reasoning at KS3; weekly professional development time and further programmes free through the trust's Institute of Education.
