Job overview

If you are looking for an exciting place to work with dedicated staff, positive learners and supportive parents, then join St. Dominic's Priory School in Stone.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful mathematics department, with opportunities to teach across several key stages. We welcome applications from NQTs and more experienced teachers.

The successful candidate will be able to promote their love of the subject and spark students' interest and enable them to reach their full potential.

We are a small, highly successful, Catholic co-educational independent school, educating children from Pre-school to 16 years, welcoming children of all faiths.  The school has seen a significant increase in pupil numbers over the last few years due to the demand for high-level education being sought in the area. To meet the demand further, we announced plans for an exciting new redevelopment of the school site and construction began in Sept 2018.  On completion in 2019, the school will be in the unprecedented and exciting position of being able to offer new modern teaching facilities on a consolidated and much improved site.

These new facilities will not only enrich and enhance the education and experiences of its current pupils and those who attend the school for many years to come, but will also allow us to expand our offering of two-form entry, which will enable us to accommodate an additional 20 places for each year group within our senior school.

Closing date for applications is Friday 1st March 2019.

If you would like to see our school or have any further questions please contact headspa@stdominicspriory.co.uk or phone 01785 814181.

St. Dominic’s Priory School is an independent Catholic school located in Stone, Staffordshire where they welcome pupils of all faiths and backgrounds. The school is co-educational, and educates children from pre-school to year 11.

They are ranked as one of the top performing non-selective schools in the area, and once again this year their pupils achieved excellent GCSE grades, continuing the school’s reputation for academic success by accomplishing a notable pass rate across all subjects of 100%. This only highlights the school’s strong academic tradition and reputation for giving an outstanding all-round education.

The school creates a love of learning in a friendly and happy environment; where they nurture individuality and an acceptance of others’ strengths and weaknesses, so each child is advised and guided to explore and pursue their own interests and encouraged to succeed in all that they want to achieve. This was recognised when they were awarded an ‘Excellent’ in their last Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

They excel in the creative and performing arts and their pupils enjoy participating in activities, including art exhibitions, music concerts, school productions and dance groups. A busy programme of sports, cultural events, speakers, visits, clubs, and activities enhance school life. There is something for everyone at St. Dominic’s.

Headteacher
Mrs Rebecca Harrison
