The governors of St Alban's Catholic High School are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, motivated and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics from September 2019.

St Alban's Catholic High School strives to provide an excellent education for our students within a caring Christian community where all are respected, valued and supported to achieve their potential.

Candidates need to be willing to support the Catholic ethos of the school and be willing to develop an understanding of teaching in a Catholic setting; however, do not need to be Catholic themselves.

We are seeking a Teacher of Mathematics with the following qualities to join our experienced Mathematics Department:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • a passion for excellence in the teaching of mathematics
  • the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve excellent results
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • the attributes to be a strong form tutor.

About St Alban's Catholic High School

St Alban’s Catholic High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Ipswich, Suffolk. It is the only Catholic High School in the Ipswich area and religious education forms part of the core curriculum. 

The School premises have been improved in recent years with the addition of a new sixth form block and library and the refurbishment of some existing facilities.
