Job overview

Teacher of Mathematics

(Temporary)

Leicester Grammar School is one of the UK's top-performing co-educational HMC independent day schools. This vacancy presents a wonderful opportunity to benefit from Leicester Grammar School’s focus of delivering engaging teaching to instil a passionate interest in your subject within a like-minded department, whilst also providing pupils with optimum exam preparation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to join our highly successful Mathematics Department from January or February 2023 to fill a full-time timetable on a temporary basis, to cover a maternity absence until July 2023, in the first instance. Additionally, we are able to extend this temporary contract to December 2023 by mutual agreement.

The successful candidate will be able to teach up to GCSE with aspirational pupils. Whilst it might be an advantage if you are able to teach Maths to A-Level, it is not essential. You would also contribute fully to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the Mathematics department and Leicester Grammar School generally.

We are happy to consider both experienced candidates and those who are at an early stage of their career.

Full details of the role, benefits and how to apply are available using this link https://cvminder.com/2211ph01.

Interested candidates are advised to apply early as we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the specified deadline, if a suitable candidate is found.

Applications will close on Friday 1 December 2022.

Leicester Grammar School Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and this is reflected in our safer recruitment procedures. Applicants must undergo safer recruitment checks, including checks with past employers, online searches and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate with Barred List check.
