This is an exciting opportunity for an NQT or experienced Teacher of Mathematics to inspire and challenge pupils at one of the leading schools in the UK to work at the highest academic levels in Mathematics.
It is expected that the person appointed would be able to make a strong contribution to A Level teaching. Teachers at Uppingham also play a full part in the life of this seven-day week boarding school, by taking on responsibilities in addition to classroom teaching.

Mathematics and Further Maths are very popular subjects at A Level with approximately 60% of the Lower Sixth currently studying the subject. Pupils also compete successfully at the Intermediate and Senior Maths Challenges.

Work is generally presented neatly and pupils’ note-taking is effective. They develop good numeracy skills and their capacity to think critically is notable.
