Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Maths & Science, to support students based at the North West AIP Key Stage 3 & 4 provision 'The Pennington Centre'.

The successful candidate will have high aspirations for all students and will share our commitment to further raising achievement across the 11-16 age range. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional, who can motivate, engage, inspire and challenge students of all abilities.

The North West secondary provision provides an alternative education provision for young people from within 9 secondary schools located within the North West area of Leeds, who for various reasons struggle to access mainstream school and require a tailored approach. Our aim is to improve outcomes for these students who may require additional support. The provision meets the needs of all learners through a multi-agency approach to provide viable alternatives to mainstream education that help to raise aspiration and foster positive outcomes.

We can offer you excellent professional development and the opportunity to work within a hardworking, collaborative team of staff who are committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning throughout the provision.

Please contact Sasha Holdsworth for further details and forward applications to sasha.holdsworth@nwaip.com.

If you would like to arrange a visit to the provision please contact us on 0113 8275330 or email Sasha Holdsworth - sasha.holdsworth@nwaip.com.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The details of the DBS Code of Conduct can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-code-of-practice. We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds.
