We are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join our talented Maths department from September 2020. The role will suit a keen Mathematician who is ready for a new challenge to develop their practice in an outstanding school. The successful candidate will be passionate about the subject and in particular, be committed to giving students the secure grounding in mathematical concepts to prepare them for adult life.
What KAA offers?
Our Maths department is made up of talented staff who all have a true passion for the subject of Maths. Because of this, there are regular opportunities to learn from, and train, other members of staff in areas of expertise which promotes the on-going professional development of our Maths teachers.
Each frame of the Maths curriculum relates to a unit of mathematical work, adding meaning and real-life application to ideas which may otherwise appear quite abstract. Because of this, those teaching the subject have the opportunity to make the subject relevant to the student's everyday lives by developing their ability to take on problems in unfamiliar contexts and to evaluate data in order to make informed decisions.
Maths is a popular choice for KAA students at A-Level and this allows those teaching the subject the opportunity to work with the A-Level curriculum.
