Maths Teacher   - KS2 Primary to teach Maths

The increasingly successful and popular The Bishop of Winchester Academy is looking to appoint a conscientious, enthusiastic and skilled KS2 primary school practitioner who has experience working with students to teach Maths to our Key Stage 3 transition classes. 

The successful candidate will want to make a difference and will be required to deliver Maths at the appropriate national curriculum levels to small, specialist classes. There will be an added opportunity to support the Maths department in raising the attainment for a wide range of students. This will be a rewarding role and a great opportunity to join a growing, stable and enthusiastic Maths team.

This will be an exciting time to join the Academy equipped with state of the art facilities. This will enable teachers to deliver consistently good and outstanding teaching and learning. The Academy is ambitious to be recognised as inspirational. Ofsted have acknowledged the many strengths of our academy. Our growing popularity is demanding we increase our dedicated teaching staff. Three primary practitioners are already employed within the department and a further two in Science and English, we are keen to build on their outstanding work.

About The Bishop of Winchester Academy

The Bishop of Winchester Academy, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is a Church of England secondary school that prides itself on its curriculum, governance and outstanding student behaviour. Students aged 11-18 experience teaching in new state-of-the-art buildings and have first-class resources at their fingertips. The school operates in an area where there are schools that select for entry on grounds of ability.

The mixed secondary school was opened in September 2010 as a sponsor-led academy. In September 2014, the Bishop of Winchester Academy extended its educational opportunities by opening its own sixth form.
