The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics for CHS South to cover the current postholder's maternity leave.

The successful candidate will join a department that delivers a vibrant and creative curriculum that is relevant and engaging, leading to successful outcomes for the diverse range of students in our cohort. The Maths team boast a wide range of experience and skills and are extremely supportive of each other. Members of our department work very closely with the North West Maths Hubs and form part of the Mastery Specialist programmes to ensure we are at the forefront of new developments in Mathematics pedagogy.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to work with the CHS South team in developing our brand new 11-16 Secondary School.  CHS South was opened in September 2018 to allow more young people in our community to access the successful model developed at our oversubscribed sister school, Chorlton High School.  This model ensures we provide an education built on the values of offering every young person we encounter the skills necessary to craft a creative, happy and successful future.  

In September 2021 we made the exciting move to our brand new building and are enjoying all of its facilities.

Our school is proud to be part of the Prospere Learning Trust. Prospere Learning Trust was formed in September 2017 through the merger of two multi academy trusts. We currently employ over 900 staff and are passionate about providing exceptional education for children from any background so that they become happy, confident adults with excellent academic knowledge and qualifications. About CHS South

Welcome to CHS South, our new 11-16 eight-form entry, mixed, comprehensive school opened in conjunction with Chorlton High School. We received our first Ofsted inspection in January 2023 and were graded as ‘good’ in all areas. In the report Inspectors comment that, “CHS South is a welcoming and supportive community. Pupils are proud of their school. Pupils understand the school values of ‘ready, respectful, safe’, and they try hard to follow them in all that they do.”
