About You:

As a Teacher of Maths at Caister Academy, you will be a positive role model and consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviours, which we expect of pupils. Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Good knowledge of the pedagogy associated with Maths
  • Ability to be supportive professionalism
  • Willingness to reflect upon your own experiences in a critical and constructive manner
  • Vibrant personality and interpersonal skills

About the department:

At Caister, we pride ourselves in having an amazing group of people who work directly within mathematics. Consisting of six teachers, with lead practitioners and raising achievement mentors alike - we work as a collective to better the outcomes of students across the academy. With links to school departments across the county with our links to the East Mathematics Community, we consider ourselves a key player in changing student perspectives in the subject. Requirements:

To apply for the Teacher of Maths role, you must:

  • Qualified to degree level or above
  • Qualified teacher status
  • Experience of teaching across the full age and ability range of an 11-16 school.
  • Experience in the use of ICE in the classroom with the skill to impact that expertise to others.
