We want our pupils to love going to lessons and to actively want to learn Maths.

We are looking for a teacher who will bring enthusiasm and joy to their classroom, enthusing pupils in Y5-8 to achieve their potential and nurturing those who aspire to excel in Maths. Beyond the classroom, we are looking for an individual who is “whole-school”, inspiring Housians to be true Change Makers.

Most full-time teachers will be expected to be an academic and pastoral tutor for approximately 12 pupils in Year 5, 6, 7 or 8 and run co-curricular activities.

The post is suitable for experienced teachers, Early Career teachers and those aspiring to qualify as teachers. We will support candidates who wish to study for their PGCE whilst they are working at Winchester House.

Please read the Job Description here for full details.

The Stowe Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers, the Disclosure and Barring Service and an online background check with our 3rd party provider SP-Index.

Part of our role is to create as many opportunities as we can for all children. We look to extend all pupils, inside and outside the classroom, and we encourage them to aspire. We reward achievement and endeavour and we encourage all pupils to take responsibility for themselves, for others and for their school. Throughout their time at WHS, we work with parents to build a relationship that will underpin each child's development at the school. Traditional values and high standards, supported by a strong Christian ethos, are expected.
