Job overview

The Bridge Short Stay School are seeking to appoint a teacher of Maths to lead on delivery of the KS3 & KS4 curriculum on our Northwich site.

The successful candidate will share our vision of providing the highest levels of pastoral support to vulnerable young people alongside high expectations of academic development. Experience of teaching a second subject would be beneficial, a willingness to do so is essential.

The Bridge Short Stay School provides education for students who have been, or are at risk of being, permanently excluded from mainstream schools or who find themselves without a school place for ‘other’ reasons. Our work is challenging, but highly rewarding; the successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management skills & demonstrate resilience and flexibility in approach.

TLR responsibilities for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate would be negotiated on appointment but will involve supporting the operational leadership of the Northwich site and helping to raise standards in Teaching & Learning across the school. As a small school there will be opportunities to make a difference in a wide range of aspects of the school, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with aspirations towards school leadership.

For an informal discussion about the post, or to arrange a visit to the school please contact Andy Stewart, Headteacher on 01606 275866 or andy.stewart@thebridge.cheshire.sch.uk

The Bridge Short Stay School is committed to safer recruitment and the successful applicant would need to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
