We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly effective classroom teacher with fantastic opportunities to develop their teaching and learning in this vibrant department. In 2017, the department achieved a fantastic Progress score on +0.6 placing it in the top 5% of schools. 2018 saw results broadly in line this. We wish to build on our success and continue our journey to become an exceptional Mathematics department.

Like us, you will be dynamic, innovative and hardworking. You will also have exceptional subject knowledge, a desire to positively impact upon students’ learning and a firm commitment to high academic achievement. Above all you will be dedicated to giving all our students an outstanding education. There is scope to teach KS3 through to KS5. The department operates in a fully consultative and supportive manner and there is a strong sense of collegiality.

The post is available for both an NQT or an experienced practitioner. No matter where you are on your career journey, at Oaks Park High School, you will be developed through our comprehensive CPD programmes. For the right candidate with the appropriate skills and experiences, upcoming opportunities to take on extra responsibility will be made available for consideration.

Oaks Park High School is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with over 400 students in the Sixth Form. The school moved to 10 forms of entry in September 2015 and recently opened the Craig Foster Building to meet the increase in student numbers.

We have a strong vision of success and achievement supported by an excellent continuing professional development programme for all staff. If you are an inspirational and ambitious teacher, then you are the right candidate.

The school is centrally located in the London Borough of Redbridge, which is a very high achieving borough. There are excellent transport links to central and outer London, with Newbury Park station only a four minute walk away. Visits to the school are welcomed, or alternatively you can speak to Anjna Flack, Deputy Headteacher about the role and working at Oaks Park High School.
