The successful candidate will have either previous experience of teaching with a proven track record at KS3 and KS4 and will be excited at the opportunity of teaching in these key areas.  This is a hugely exciting time to join Salford City Academy. The Academy has undergone a huge transformation and achieved its best-ever results in August 2019.

We are a good school with high aspirations and expectations for?all our?students. Our pursuit of educational excellence is based upon our fundamental belief that every student has the capacity to become successful?and fulfil their aspirations.?This is supported by our 'disruption free learning' behaviour system that is based around two fundamental values: teachers can teach in a disruption free classroom and students can learn in a disruption free environment.

All behaviour and detentions are managed centrally by the Inclusion Team thus reducing workload of staff and ensuring that teachers have the time and capacity to deliver high quality lessons to their students.

Salford City Academy is committed to professional development; all teaching staff are expected to actively participate in a programme of continuing professional development (CPD). We work collaboratively, share good practice, and have a Trust-wide approach to development. We need to make sure that we have the right people in the right place, doing the job that is needed to build excellent provision for our children and young people. Staff are supported professionally to ensure they can do that and are valued and recognised for their work.

We are proud members of the Salford community, constantly striving to be the best and bringing out the best in everyone. Tolerance, mutual respect, honesty, and co-operation are fostered in line with the Academy REACT values across the curriculum.

Our vision is to provide an excellent education for all our students, which brings out the best in all of them and prepares them for success in life. The academy is an exciting place to be and it is an excellent time to join us whether you are a qualified teacher looking to further your experience in tutoring or a student who is thinking about a potential career in teaching.
