The Governors of this Outstanding, Leading Edge 11-18 Catholic School are seeking to appoint from 1st September 2017 a well qualified, enthusiastic, excellent and ambitious teacher to the post of Teacher of Maths at one of the fastest improving schools in the country. 5+A*-C including Maths and English has improved from 46% to 92% at GCSE in the past five years and we are confident of improving further this year. Similarly, A Level performance is excellent with 82% A*-B. Student progress is in the top 1% nationally. This post will provide the opportunity to join a very successful department at an exciting time in the school’s development.
 

The school places a great emphasis on the development of our staff, ensuring we are at the cutting edge of outstanding learning and teaching strategies. This, in addition to our leadership CPD programme, is aimed at bringing out the best in everyone and preparing them for future leadership roles. As a result in the past three years we have seen 15 people promoted to Middle Leader positions, 10 to Assistant Head and 3 to Deputy Headship. We want the very best for our students and as a result we invest greatly in our staff to help them become the best teachers and leaders they can be.

About St Andrew's Catholic School

St Andrew’s Catholic School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Leatherhead, Surrey. It is a community state school which has strong links to local churches and falls under the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. The school  provides 1290 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18.

A school that consists of three buildings, the central school building dates back to the 1950s, while its new building opened in 2018.
