The Maths Faculty is seeking an inspirational and engaging teacher who has a passion and commitment for teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be required to teach across all abilities and age groups.

Our focus is being active and creative in lessons, where students grow in confidence and learn to take risks, under the encouragement and support from the teacher in class. The successful candidate will be passionate about seeing students make significant progress and develop a love of learning mathematics.

GCSE results have risen year on year with 80% of students achieving grades 9-4 and 33% achieving 9-7 in 2019. Both Maths and Further Maths are very popular subjects in the Sixth Form, over 75% of students in the sixth form are currently studying a Level 3 Maths qualification.

A comprehensive programme of support and training will be made available to the successful applicant.  Any NQT appointed will be supported with a reduced timetable, a mentor and a strong commitment to his/her professional development.

About The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College

The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College has 1560 students, 200 of whom are in the Sixth Form. The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Wroughton.  

The school was established in 1967 and was the first purpose-built comprehensive school in Wiltshire. We offer GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for students, while sixth form students have the option of studying a range of A-levels and further BTECs.
