As a school we continue to be sharply focused on raising achievement for all our young people. We invest in our staff, providing a full Induction programme and the support you need to progress in your career.

About St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth Form College, A Voluntary Academy

St. Wilfrid’s Catholic High School and Sixth Form College, with its distinctive Catholic identity, seeks to ensure the development of all students’ spiritual, moral and academic potential, based on its commitment to Christ and His teachings.

As a community, the school is committed to the common good, which is achieved through the fostering of a co-operative and caring ethos, both with St Wilfrid’s, parishes, family and the wider community.

Such an approach is based on the Christian principle of personal dignity and worth where each person’s rights and responsibilities are recognised and respected, and their individual talents nurtured.

These talents include the search for academic excellence within a secure learning environment, where the needs and potential of all pupils are addressed and where achievement, both individual and collective, is celebrated.

We are incredibly proud of our community, students, supportive parents, staff and governors.  All of us work together to make St Wilfrid’s a safe and enjoyable place to learn.

At St Wilfrid’s we have high standards at the heart of all we do. We encourage our students to achieve the best they can across every area of school. A rich and broad curriculum provides high-quality education and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Our aim is for our students to be confident, caring, resilient young adults with a desire to learn and achieve the best they can, in all they do.

We welcome students of any faith or of none, but our faith has a positive influence on our approach. We are building a community of young adults who recognise and appreciate the value of each other’s company while growing in knowledge and faith. Students feel a sense of responsibility and care for others and are willing to give something of themselves for the happiness and the improvement of the broader community.
