Vision for Education, the supply arm of TES, are seeking to appoint an ambitious Full-Time Maths Teacher to work in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
This full-time position will begin from September 2018 and continue on an on-going long-term basis. The school will go permanent for the right candidate. The desired Maths Teacher will be teaching children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Key Stage Three (KS3), Key Stage Four (KS4) and Key Stage Five (KS5). The successful Maths Teacher will be expected to have a broad subject knowledge and have the ability to teach a range of qualifications, including GCSE and Functional Skills. You will be teaching small classes and receive a high level of staffing support.
The ideal Maths Teacher will be expected to work collaboratively with their colleagues and complete planning and marking. Furthermore, you will be expected to contribute to transforming and developing a lifelong love for learning for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASD/ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties and Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD).
To be considered for the position as a Maths Teacher you must:
•Be a Maths Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Unqualified Teacher with at least 1 years’ experience teaching Maths up to GCSE and A-Level
•Ideally, have experience teaching children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including; Autism (ASD/ASC), Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyslexia and Dyslexia
•Be flexible, adaptable and able to hit the ground running in a busy and vibrant environment
•Able to adjust lessons and teaching approaches accordingly to meet the needs of the children you’re supporting
•Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring and engaging Maths lessons
•Have a genuine desire to become part of committed team of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) practitioners, specialising in Autism (ASC/ASD)
