The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who will join a well-established and highly successful department to teach maths across all key stages. Results in the maths department are outstanding and among the highest in the country; last year 92% of students achieved a grades 9 – 4 in the more challenging new style GCSEs, 62% achieved grades 9 – 7 grades, and an astonishing 44 pupils achieved the coveted grade 9. At key stage 5, Maths and Further Maths are very popular options with 80% of pupils achieving A* – B. The department’s value added has been in the top 1% of the country for many years and we are recognised as one of the highest performing maths departments in the country. We are looking for a teacher who can make a significant contribution to this already strong and successful department.
