Unlike other schools, we introduce all students to Enterprise in Key Stage 3, with all students studying an Enterprise course, which includes Media Studies. All students also receive a Chromebook in Year 7, allowing for exciting, dynamic teaching and learning from the first lesson. At Key Stage Four, we offer Media BTEC, while in the Sixth Form we offer BTEC Extended Diplomas in Creative Media Production part of the IB Career-related Programme, with Film also available on the the IB Diploma Programme. Both Media and Film are high performing and popular subjects. The department is well supported with industry standard production equipment and a dedicated editing suite.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and an excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to student success and development. They should be excited about Media, and have a passion that inspires our students. Experience of planning and delivering BTEC and Film courses is desirable, the ideal candidate should be aware of the changes facing the subject area nationally and be able to implement new courses accordingly. Most importantly, there is a real opportunity to contribute to a developing team that is making a difference.
