Media Make Up Teacher

Salary: £23,630 - £39,135 per annum. Incremental progression throughout the band is available.

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 30th June 2020

Hours per Week: 0.6 FTE



We are keen to appoint an academic with industry experience for our Foundation Degree and BA(Hons) Make-up Artistry Degree. 

It is essential for candidates to possess expertise in a variety of SFX and Prosthetics supported with strong research and academic essay writing. It would also be advantageous to be skilled in Hair and Postiche, Events and Business Management. 

Applicants will have a related degree, ideally a PGCE or equivalent and have previously taught on a similar degree programme.

We also require applicants to have: 

• Relevant industry experience in the Media (ideally the TV, Film, Fashion or Beauty sector). 

• A good network of industry professionals. 

• The ability to utilise new technologies in teaching and learning. 


Successful candidates must have an absolute commitment to high standards and delivering an outstanding experience and outcome for learners. You will be committed to excellence in teaching and learning with a demonstrable track record.
